It was the Summer of 1982. “Don’t You Want Me” from The Human League was on top of the summer music charts and everyone was wearing Hawaiian Wrap Shorts with matching tied-up, midriff shirts. Oh! Let’s not forget knickers and Tropical Vans, just to complete the look. As if the 1980’s weren’t already rad enough, it looks like we are revisiting this totally awesome decade! There has been a trend toward higher waist line jeans, wrap-style shorts, and wrap-style dresses. Bare midriff’s are everywhere, complete with 80’s style, button down shirts, tied up to show just a little sliver of skin. It looks like it’s time to put this vintage sewing pattern back into circulation and make some trendy wrap-style shirts and shorts!
